My first public reviews

I received an email last night from one of my readers, who had just finished my book. This person had experienced a childhood close to mine and was choosing to express to me that there are many of us out there in the world that have had an opportunistic childhood and have chosen to be an asset to society.

I have been asked if the book was a healing process for me, after sitting with this question I have come to this: I had already started my healing process long before I had started writing How Far Will I Run, the agenda of the book was two-fold, one was  to  help younger generations through their time of hardship to realize that their always is a light at the end of the tunnel and the other was  to share with my fellow survivors that we can make an attributable difference in our communities. Consciously, we can help others if we choose to.
