Your Should or Mine?

staying afloat

Often, when people tell you what you should be doing, they have lost focus on what they could or would be doing for themselves. A should is a projection, a safety zone for people who are loosing control of their own situations. It’s easier to assess other’s problems  then to work on one’s own circumstances. We can fix the world as our own house crumbles! When I hear myself say,  “should” to someone, I start laughing at myself. Who am I to tell anyone what they should be doing? I am still trying to get it straight myself. Meditation and focusing on our own self-improvement helps us to better serve others in their true time of need.
