The Delaware based Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children has joined forces with Darkness to Light to train 5% of Delaware’s adults to better prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse. The goal was one that Beau Biden established after convicting nearly 200 child sexual abusers and removing 120 children from abusive situations.
“Children cannot protect themselves, and very young children, who are often the target of predators, in many cases are unable to speak for themselves,” said Beau Biden. “As adults, we all have the responsibility to protect children and take action when we believe a child is being abused.”
