Tonight at the Vacaville Optimist Club serving all of Solano County, we presented the winner of the 2013 Essay Contest an award of $100 to go towards his college education. Cornelius, or as he likes to be called CJ expanded on this years Essay topic, “How can I help my friends realize their value?” by sharing with our Optimists tonight that creating a positive environment for his peers gave them space to grow. I was honored to present him his award tonight. I am so proud of our next generations of Optimists creating a better world for all of us to live in.
